Gender Equity and Equality
One-day National colloquium titled ‘Gender Equity and Equality’ organized by Faculty of Business Administration, GLS University, Ahmedabad on 8th October 2022. Women's Development Cell, one of the crucial statutory committees of GLS University was established in 2015, with a purpose to create an open space where we have discourses on various issues specifically from a gender lens. In the process, we try to unlearn and learn certain concepts that are core to our social milieu.
Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. Women and girls, everywhere, must have equal rights and opportunity, and be able to live free of violence and discrimination.
The colloquium was enriched through key note speech, panel discussion, gender sensitization Lit Fest (Literature, Interpretation, Talks) and research poster presentation as our target audience happened to be academicians as well as students.
