The GLS Institute of Design (GLSID), under GLS University, is a leading centre for design education located in Ahmedabad, a UNESCO World Heritage City. The institute offers a comprehensive range of programmes including Bachelor’s, Global Bachelor’s (Hons.), Master’s, Integrated Master’s, and Doctoral (PhD), supporting learners from foundational study to advanced research.

The institute offers B.Des (4 years), Global B.Des (Hons.) (4 years), Integrated M.Des (5 years), M.Des (2 years), and a PhD in Design. The curriculum emphasizes studio practice, research-led thinking, sustainability, and interdisciplinary learning across Fashion, Communication, Product, and Environment and Space Design domains. Through national and international exposure, graduates are prepared to contribute meaningfully to professional practice, academia, entrepreneurship, and society.
At the doctoral level, the PhD in Design focuses on practice-led and theory-driven research, encouraging scholars to generate original knowledge across design thinking, systems, communication, products, environments, education, and interdisciplinary fields.
