About Master of Design (M.Des)

The Master of Design (M.Des) is a two-year postgraduate programme structured around a progressive learning journey of Knowing, Thinking, Doing, and Transforming. The programme blends elective-based learning, studio-focused specialisations, and interdisciplinary collaboration, allowing students to shape personalised academic pathways.

Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, experimentation, innovation, and real-world problem-solving, supported by industry collaborations, live projects, and research-led inquiry. The programme culminates in a final project that synthesizes learning into impactful, industry-relevant design solutions.

  • Candidate must have passed Graduation from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 50% required for the Open category.
  • Minimum of 45% required for the Reserved category.
