Faculty Development Programme on High-quality Research

This academic year, the Faculty of Business Administration hosted Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) to enhance research skills, led by Dr. Hitesh Parmar from Sardar Patel University. On January 28th, 2023, Dr. Parmar covered construct development, and on March 5th, 2023, he delved into variables, questionnaire design, and data analysis techniques. These sessions significantly boosted faculty members' research capabilities and understanding.

Workshop on Case Development

Join us in revisiting our National Level Online Workshop on Case Development! Spanning two days with a creative 15-day interval, participants mastered the art of crafting compelling case studies. On day one, they learned to choose topics, integrate real-world data, and structure narratives. Over the next two weeks, they developed their own cases.

Day two featured a dynamic showcase and discussions, refining each case to perfection. Every participant successfully created a case study, soon to be published in a book with an e-ISBN. This initiative will enrich GLSBBA's academic resources and provide invaluable teaching materials to the educational community.

FDP on Business Transformation through Personal Transformation

Mr. Anand Pillai, Managing Director of Leadership Matters, led a transformative Faculty Development Program (FDP) at GLS University on September 15th, 2023. Focused on "Achieving Business Transformation through Personal Transformation," the session explored how personal growth drives organizational change. Participants gained insights into innovation, change management, and fostering continuous improvement, empowering them to lead transformative shifts in their academic and professional roles. This dynamic FDP sparked a passion for positive change across the university.

International Conference On “empowering Women, Empowering Humanity” Jointly Organized By Wilpf-India & Gls University

GLS University and WILPF-India collaborated for their third international conference, "Empowering Women, Empowering Humanity," on March 26-27, 2022. This dynamic event gathered scholars, activists, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss crucial topics like women's rights, education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and social inclusion. It aimed to foster impactful research, innovative strategies, and global efforts towards gender equity and the comprehensive development of women and girls worldwide.

International Webinar On “digital Transformation In Education- The New Normal.”

GLS University's Faculty of Commerce and CIMA, UK, collaborated for an impactful International Webinar titled "Digital Transformation in Education - The New Normal," held on October 17th, 2020. The event explored how technology, especially amid COVID-19, is reshaping education.

Bhaskar Ranjan Das from CIMA-South Asia discussed digital advancements in education, while Ms. Anju De Alwis, representing CIMA from Dubai, emphasized adaptive teaching methods. Topics included digital platforms, remote teaching strategies, and leveraging technology for better educational outcomes.

National Conference On “creativity, Innovation And Technology For Sustainable Growth And Development Of Indian Economy”

GLS University’s Faculty of Commerce hosted a dynamic National Conference on "Creativity, Innovation, and Technology for Sustainable Growth of the Indian Economy" on December 28th, 2019. With 250 delegates and 110 research papers, the conference explored how these elements drive economic development and fostered valuable knowledge exchange and collaboration to propel India's progress.

National Level Workshop on “Redefining womanhood: Calling for a change”

GLS University's Faculty of Commerce and WILPF-India organized the national-level workshop "Redefining Womanhood: Calling for a Change" on August 1st, 2019. Notable figures like Shri Sudhirbhai Nanavati and Dr. Mandaben Parikh, alongside experts Ms. Vaibhaviben Nanavati and Ms. Nayika Agrawal, led discussions on self-awareness, societal roles, empowerment, and mental well-being. The workshop provided diverse insights and practical guidance, fostering personal and professional growth among women and promoting positive societal change, equity, and empowerment.

International Conference on Advancement of Technology, Research & Management (GLSU-ATRPM 2024)

GLS University's Faculty of Management hosted the 15th International Conference on Advancement of Technology, Research & Management (GLSU-ATRPM 2024) on March 23, 2024. With 300 attendees including students, faculty, scholars, and industry professionals, the event explored cutting-edge technology, research methodologies, and management practices through keynotes, papers, panels, and networking. It promoted knowledge exchange, research excellence, and best practices.

Workshop focused on Sampling Design

On February 17, 2024, GLS University's School of Doctoral Research and Innovation hosted a dynamic online workshop on sampling design via Zoom. Led by experts Dr. Abbasi Attarwala and Dr. Sameer Kulkarni, the session featured key techniques like random, stratified, cluster, and systematic sampling. With 110 enthusiastic participants, the event facilitated vibrant knowledge sharing and practical insights into sampling design, proving highly successful.

Student Workshop: Idea Generation

Mr. Anay Mashruwala, Partner at Venus Engineering Works, conducted a dynamic three-day workshop on Ideation Techniques for the TYBBA Entrepreneurship Batch from July 20-22, 2023. Through hands-on activities and group discussions, students honed their creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Mr. Mashruwala, drawing from his marketing and quality control expertise, provided valuable insights that inspired innovative business ideas. By the workshop's end, students had gained confidence and a deeper understanding of ideation, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Student – Teacher Joint Research Initiative

At GLS University, we believe that involving students in research enhances their learning experience and prepares them for successful careers. Through research projects, internships, and mentorship, students work alongside faculty members on cutting-edge initiatives, gaining valuable hands-on experience and contributing to meaningful Research. GLS University enhancing on the student-teacher Joint research venture to accommodate the ideation and innovation of the students with knowledge support of the faculty. This program accelerates the research foundation and motivates students to contribute to the field of research & development. Students are also interested in multidisciplinary approach of research; through this kind of initiative, we can enlarge the span of imagination and creation of students as well as teachers.

Annual Research Day Celebration

GLS University annually celebrates the “Research Day” on 19th January in the name of legendary philanthropist and educationist Shri I.M.Nanavati. The objectives of the Research Day celebration are twofold. First, is to foster innovation and quality of research among students and faculty members. Second is to recognise significant contributions made by the students and faculty members in the research activities.
