GLS University successfully hosted GLSU-ATRPM 2026, its flagship international research conference on Advances in Theory, Research and Practices in Management, in hybrid mode at its Ahmedabad campus. The conference was organized as the third commemorative event under “Shodh Shatabdi – The Research Conclave”, a part of the university’s centenary year celebrations.
The theme of this year’s conference, “AI in Action”, reflected the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence in transforming management, business, leadership, and organizational practices. The conference brought together academicians, researchers, industry professionals, and students to deliberate on the practical applications of AI across diverse sectors.
A major highlight of the conference was the presentation of 100 Research Ideas, symbolizing GLS University’s commitment to promoting innovation, interdisciplinary research, and future-oriented academic inquiry. Research papers were presented across key domains including Emerging Technologies, Sustainability, Finance and Accounting, Entrepreneurship, and Start-ups.
GLSU-ATRPM, initiated in 2021, has evolved into a meaningful academic platform that connects research with practice and strengthens collaboration between academia and industry. The 2026 edition further reinforced this vision by focusing on actionable AI frameworks, sector-specific applications, responsible AI practices, and sustainable organizational value creation.
The inaugural session featured Prof. Neharika Vohra from IIM Ahmedabad as the keynote speaker. She shared insights on the growing role of AI in managerial decision-making, organizational leadership, and the future of work. The conference also included multiple technical sessions featuring research presentations and scholarly discussions.
The valedictory session was graced by Mr. Suraj Kishor, former CEO, BBDO India and TeamX for Mercedes-Benz, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director, GLS University, delivered the valedictory address and emphasized the importance of moving from theoretical discussions to meaningful real-world implementation.
Speaking on the theme, Dr. Kapadia said, “The theme ‘AI in Action’ is not about tools or trends; it is about application, experimentation, and execution. The true value of AI lies in its ability to amplify human thinking, not replace it. AI does not define success — the way we use AI does.” Another important highlight of the event was the relaunch of KALP Journal as a digital platform, aimed at encouraging impactful, practice-oriented, and accessible research within the university ecosystem.
The event was organized under the visionary leadership of Shri Sudhir Nanavati, President, GLS University, and reflected the institution’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research culture, innovation, and socially relevant knowledge creation.
GLSU-ATRPM 2026 successfully highlighted the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence while emphasizing the need to align technological advancement with human values, ethical responsibility, and societal impact.

The year-long celebrations include a series of academic, cultural, research, innovation, and community-oriented initiatives designed to engage students, faculty, alumni, researchers, industry leaders, and society at large. Each month features a flagship commemorative event leading up to the completion of 100 years in February 2027.
In March, the university organized a start-up exhibition on the theme “100 Campus Ideas for Viksit Bharat” as the second commemorative event.
