Aug 2025
GLS-FOC under its English and Reading Club Word Wizards, organized an engaging Poetry Writing and Recitation Workshop titled “Verse Vibrations” on 30th August 2025. The initiative reflected the University’s commitment to holistic education and creativity, true to its vision of nurturing talent and innovation.
The workshop was graced by Mr. Chirag Tripathi, a renowned media professional with over two decades of experience in radio, television, films, events, and voice artistry. Recipient of several national and state-level accolades, Mr. Tripathi’s rich expertise made the session both inspiring and enlightening.
In a lively, interactive format, Mr. Tripathi explained the true essence of Kavita—as an art of emotions and imagination beyond rhyme and words. He introduced various poetic forms, elaborated on Chhandas (metrical verse) and Achhandas (free verse), and clarified the difference between a Ghazal and a Geet, including key elements like Dhruv Pankti, Ulla Misra, and Saani Misra. He encouraged students to refine their writing by focusing on imagery, rhythm, and emotional depth, and invited them to recite their self-composed poems. His constructive feedback helped participants enhance their expression and confidence. Verse Vibrations proved to be a memorable blend of learning and inspiration, enriching students’ appreciation for poetic art while fostering creativity and self-expression. The workshop was efficiently coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Bhumika Ansodaria and Dr. Gitanjali Rampal.
