Students of the Faculty of Commerce, GLS University celebrated Christmas with children of a Deaf and Dumb School under the outreach initiative PRAYAS, promoting compassion, inclusivity, and social responsibility. Through thoughtful interaction using gestures and basic sign language, students created a welcoming and respectful environment. The celebration included games, dance, music, a special Garba session, and distribution of gifts and sweets, fostering joy and emotional connection. The initiative offered students a meaningful learning experience, enhancing empathy, sensitivity, and social awareness.
Students of the Faculty of Commerce, GLS University visited Smt. Maniben Tribhovandas Matru Gruh Old Age Home on 27th December 2025. Through interactions, cultural activities, quizzes, and sharing gifts and essentials, students learned empathy, sensitivity, and valuable life lessons from the elderly. The visit proved to be an emotional and life-changing experience, highlighting the importance of care, respect, and human connection, while bringing joy to both the residents and the students.
Students and faculty of GLS University’s Faculty of Commerce celebrated the New Year at Prakash Andh Kanya Shala, Memnagar. The visit included joyful interactions through singing, games, and gifting thoughtful items to the visually impaired girls. Students also learned about vocational training, Braille, and computer skills, highlighting the importance of inclusive education. The celebration strengthened the bond between the institution and the community while spreading happiness and positivity among the students. It also inspired GLS-FOC students to continue contributing towards a more compassionate, inclusive, and socially responsible society.
First-year students of the Faculty of Commerce, GLS University organized a joyful charity event at Municipal School No. 26, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad, to promote empathy, unity, and social responsibility. The event featured prayers, quizzes, games, cultural performances, dances, and Garba, creating an engaging and festive atmosphere for children aged 5–12 years. Students also distributed educational kits, stationery, and snacks, blending learning with happiness. The initiative proved enriching for both the schoolchildren and the students, reinforcing the values of compassion, teamwork, and community service.
First-year B.Com students of the Faculty of Commerce, GLS University organized a vibrant outreach program on January 8, 2026, welcoming students from Municipal School No. 2 and 26, Ellisbridge at GLS University. The event featured prayers, quizzes, creative games, talent activities, and concluded with an energetic Garba and dance session involving students, faculty, and children alike. Thoughtfully prepared Smile Kits containing school bags, stationery, and refreshments were distributed to support learning and well-being. The initiative strengthened the spirit of mentorship and community bonding, making the children feel encouraged, valued, and motivated toward education. For the GLS students, the experience was deeply enriching, reinforcing the importance of empathy, teamwork, and responsible citizenship in shaping a better society.
