The Faculty of Computer Applications and Information Technology (FCAIT) organized a Tech Talk on “Can Generative AI Replace Developers?” on 6th September 2025, presented by Second Year BCA students. The session introduced Generative AI and its role in code generation, automation, debugging, and rapid prototyping, highlighting how AI tools are improving developer productivity and transforming the software development process.
The speakers emphasized that Generative AI is a supportive tool, not a replacement for developers. They highlighted the importance of human creativity, critical thinking, and ethical judgment, and encouraged students to adapt by enhancing their skills. The session concluded by inspiring participants to view AI as a collaborative partner that helps developers become more efficient and future-ready.
