Integrated MBA Programme (I-MBA)

The Faculty of Management at the GLS University offers a 5 year (10 Semesters) Integrated BBA-MBA programme for all eligible class XII pass out students. The Integrated MBA Programme is based on a Choice Based Credit System to guide the students to choose the subject in specialization of their choice and interest. These subjects are curated and offered after a rigorous market demand study, so that the students of I-MBA Programme are ready to blossom professionally in the wide field of management.

On the successful completion of the first 3 years, the students are awarded with a Bachelors in Business Administration Degree (BBA) and after the successful completion of 5 years, they are awarded with Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA).

However, students who want to acquire only an undergraduate qualification, have an option of getting a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree on the successful completion of 3 years.

Course Structure

The Integrated BBA-MBA is a 10 semesters programme conducted over the span of 5 academic years. The duration of each semester is around 16 weeks.

  • In the first two years, each semester has 7 courses to acquaint students with concepts and skills for various business functions and domains.
  • In Third Year, Students are offered core courses as well as elective courses. As the programme offers Choice Based Credit System (CBCS); student can decide elective subject of their choice from three different electives namely Marketing, Finance and Human Resource Management.
  • Upon the completion of the third year, student would be eligible for BBA Degree.
  • Student will leap directly into MBA program in IV and V Year will lead to completion of MBA degree. Students in these semesters can choose subjects of specialisation from the vast variety of advance courses offered.

Industry Exposure

IMBA, GLS University recognizes the importance to instill the corporate culture into the lives of the students. The programme explicitly emphasizes on Industry-Academia Interactions as a part of their continuous endeavor by setting up a Corporate Relations Cell. The dedicated cell organizes subject and content specific guest sessions on regular basis which facilitates students to relate and explore theoretical learning into practical implementation through the real-world experience of successful practitioners. It provides a vibrant platform to the participants to get insights from the vast pool of expertise from a gamut of promising areas and sectors wherein they strive to see their professional careers.

  • Summer Internship – It is mandatory for students to undertake a 6-8 weeks summer internship with organizations of their interest area on completion of their semester 8. It provides the required hands on experience and helps them in getting better informed about their interests and the field they would want to work in. Outstanding Achievers

  • Supan Maniar along with the support of his batchmates, successfully organized TEDx Ellisbridge where the likes of entrepreneurs, biomedical informatics, healthcare futurists, microbiologists, global educators, social workers, dancers, singers, models, actors and pilot with Indian Air Force participated to entice the audience with their TEDx talks.
  • Swapnil Yadav along with his friends have developed an application named “Saksham”. Saksham is a platform which enables blind students to find examination. This application allows everyone to register themselves as writers and their expected fees and according to time availability and geographical boundaries, the best match will be available for blind students.
  • Dhiti Desai (pen-name: Aakruti) penned down an astounding book named ‘Betwixt the Pink Mountains’. It is a collection of her poems, which was published on 13thOctober 2019.. Recently, she has been awarded with Lifest award for being “Inspiring Author for 2021” across genres. She has also been recognised by Sahitya Samman ’21. She was highly appreciated and nominated by World Book Fair at Delhi.

The applicant should have passed the 12th Std. or equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects of Gujarat State Board/CBSE/ICSE or any other approved board with at least one of the following subjects in General (Commerce) or Science stream at the first attempt with 45% marks (40% for students of reserved category viz. SC/ST/SEBC/OBC) or its equivalent:
